Google Caffeine to Favour Fresh Content Marketing
Google is soon to update their already powerful search engine, they are calling this update “Google Caffeine”. This new update is nothing to worry about and I believe that it is a huge step in the right direction for Google as they respond to Microsoft’s Bing search engine release.
Google Caffeine is currently in the testing phase, you can test it yourself here or if you want to use South African results then try out this SA Google Caffeine results link. You can also use various web based tools to test such as Compare Google but unfortunately these results do not support South Africa results yet.
Why this may be good?
We are all tired of seeing the junky old sites ranked above us only because of their age in the market or past influence. Most of these sites were created in the stone age and have not been updated since. This Google update will filter out the old and rusty sites and give more value to fresh content. It will be a sink or swim choice.
How will this effect SEO companies?
SEO companies will have to take on the Fresh Content Marketing strategy, they will need to keep their clients updated and help them to become active members in the social media world. SEO companies that sit around and collect money every month without any work will see the effects when their clients positions drop like flies.
How will this effect the average website listing?
Companies may need to rely on SEO experts more to keep their site moving in the right direction. They will also be forced to take a leap into the online social-media world and grasp fresh content marketing with open hands.
Conclusion
If your site is being constantly worked on every month then their is a good chance that your site will do well with the new update, if your site has been dormant for months then it is very possible that you may lose some positions in the search.
